It’s that time of year!!

I am so excited!  I live in Cincinnati and the weather here has been great the last few days!  It’s really starting to feel like Fall already!  The leaves are expressing some brilliant colors and have begun to lay their beautiful blanket upon many of the yards in this area.  Along with the vibrant colors comes the cool breezes and unmistakeable Autumn smells.  Freshly dropped leaves, ripe apples and warming fires…ahh, this is when I get into my element!  The refreshing weather signals to me that my beloved Christmas holiday is just around the corner!  I’ve begun listening to my holiday music station on Pandora.com, silently singing along at work to such varied songs as Elvis’ “Blue Christmas” and Alvin and the Chipmunks’ “Christmas Time is Here”.  I daydream about how I’ll decorate my house this year…thinking I may even spruce up my cubicle here at work with some lights and garland this year; and of course my Christmas coffee cup containing a fistful of candy canes lining the rim available to everyone for a festive, tasty treat.  I even fantasize about all of my various, beautiful wrapping papers and how pretty they will look under my tree this year adorning some precious gifts for my children and family.  First things first, though, I have started doodling designs for the various Christmas cards I hope to get around to making this year.  Getting all of that done with a soon-to-be-mobile baby around might be somewhat difficult, but I’m going to work really hard at it!  I can’t wait until my husband realizes that I’m in “Christmas Mode” already…he’ll be tearing at the door to get away! lol  Well until next time!!  (hopefully tomorrow!)  Thanks for reading!

Wow – I can’t believe it that your leaves are changing already. I’m envious. I love Autumn and all the colours. I’m just a bit north of you in Canada and our trees are still green and on the trees.

You have some great Christmas dreams for this year – I hope they all come true!

    Hi!

Your blog entry has me reminiscing about my earlier life in the Midwest {Indiana}! I so miss the chill in the air, the frost etchings on the window panes, and the gorgeous falling leaves! Pumpkins galore!

And just as I think it cant be more beautiful, the wind is chilly, Jack Frost creates artwork on the windows, snowflakes fall, and Christmas is 1 day nearer!

I have really enjoyed reading your two entries.
I am eagerly awaiting the crisp fall air and crunch of leaves beneath the feet. This will then lead quickly into that snowy wonderland you so beautifully described.
